Our Counselling Services

We offer therapy that is in tune with nature. This means that counselling takes place in a natural setting. Several studies have found that a mere glimpse of nature from a window or even photographs of nature can improve a person’s overall mood, mental health, and life satisfaction. Imagine the impact that receiving counselling in a peaceful garden will have your wellbeing.

Depression  Counselling

Depression is like a heavy cloud that follows you everywhere, making it hard to enjoy things you used to love. It's a feeling of deep sadness, hopelessness, and helplessness that can last for weeks, months, or even years. Imagine having a filter over your eyes that makes everything look gray, dark, and gloomy. That's what depression can feel like. It's not just feeling sad or blue, it's a serious condition that can affect your thoughts, feelings, and actions.

Depression can make you:

- Feel tired, empty, or numb

- Lose interest in activities you once enjoyed

- Have trouble sleeping or eating

- Feel worthless, guilty, or ashamed

- Struggle to concentrate or make decisions

- Withdraw from friends and family

Remember, depression is not a sign of weakness, and it's not something you can simply "snap out of." It's a treatable condition, and with the right support, therapy, and treatment, you can find ways to manage and overcome it. If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out for help!

Suicide and Self Harm Counselling

Suicide is when someone chooses to end their own life. It's a very permanent solution to temporary problems, and it can have a huge impact on the people who care about them. Think of it like this: Life can be like a puzzle, and sometimes the pieces don't fit together quite right. It can feel overwhelming and hopeless. But, there are people who can help you find new ways to fit the pieces together, like a therapist or counsellor.

Self-harm is when someone intentionally hurts themselves, usually as a way to cope with difficult emotions or feelings. It can be a confusing and scary topic, but understanding it can help you support loved ones who may be struggling. Here's a simple explanation:

Why do people self-harm?
- To temporarily escape from overwhelming emotions like anxiety, depression, or trauma
- To feel a sense of control when feeling helpless
- To express emotions when words are hard to find
- To punish themselves due to self-criticism or shame

Common forms of self-harm:
- Cutting or scratching skin
- Burning oneself
- Biting oneself
- Engaging in risky behaviors

 Important things to know:

- Self-harm is not a mental illness, but it can be a symptom of underlying issues like depression or anxiety
- Self-harm is not attention-seeking; it's often a private and hidden behavior
- Self-harm can lead to physical and emotional complications if left untreated.   Remember you are not alone,  there is always hope for a better tomorrow. If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out for help!
